Michael Jordan vs. Kobe Bryant

Kobe Bryant subs out vs the Washington Wizards

Since the Lakers got swept recently, questions have been sqirling around about Kobe, has he lost it, why didn’t he do more, what would Jordan have done?
This has been a comparison that has been brought up for at least 10 years. Who is the better player, who has the most heart etc. Some say Kobe quits sometimes in games whereas Jordan never quit.

Lets look at some of the indicators and aspects in their charts that indicate either’s will and drive to be spectacular.

Elementally speaking, Kobe is very earthy and dispassionate, with earth and air dominating. Jordan has a strong fire and air presence.

Sun conjunct Saturn: Both of them have/had a strong work ethic and dedication to the sport. Kobe’s Sun conjuncts Saturn in Virgo and Jordan’s conjunct in Aquarius.

Kobe Bryant‘s Venus, Mars, and Pluto conjunct in Libra: While Libra isn’t particularly well placed in Mars or Pluto, combined it indicates a strong will that can be obsessive, this is the kind of tenacity one would look for in a leader or a star athlete.

Jordan’s Mars Leo opposite Saturn: Mars Leo indicates the heart of a Lion in a professional athlete. Accolades mean everything and when their reputation is put under a microscope. Cruiser and Heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield has this placement as well just to illustrate the point. Most of the time they would rather die trying to save their pride than willingly throw in the towel. Mars in Leo (self) opposite Saturn in Aquarius (humanity or in this case all the players in the NBA) indicates that Jordan constantly evaluated himself against what all the other players in the league were doing and wasn’t satisfied until it was acknowledged that he was the best. This indicates harsh self criticism and self doubt.

Kobe’s Moon Trine Saturn : Composure under fire and able to operate with sense in crunch time.

MJ’s Mars trine Moon: Passions and aggression closely tied to emotional responses. You get hit and it becomes a powerful motivator.

MJ’s Moon sextile Saturn: That same cool collection needed in crunch time that Kobe has, MJ has . Saturn again taming emotions into more practical and sensical responses.

Both are most likely the top NBA players in the history of the game
When you take into account the variables, eras, Jordan having Scottie Pippen etc. Kobe having Shaq , it becomes harder to to really distinguish who is the better player.

On paper however it’s clear to me that in terms of relentlessness, willpower, and fortitude to win and dominate, Michael wins.

What about you, what are your thoughts.

The Astrology of team chemistry.

In sports, whenever a team is “under performing”, first issue looked at is the teams chemistry. One player may face scrutiny since he’s the star, or a “support” player for not not performing up to the standard. We have also seen many instances of star players being traded and then becoming less than stellar and vice versa. Astrology is completely overlooked in team chemistry, and I will give examples of astrological team chemistry in action, and why it should be utilized when drafting, trading, and signing players to teams.

New York Knicks of the 90s

Since they are my team, I will use them as my star example of team chemistry. The Knicks had on the floor Patrick Ewing (Sun Leo, Mars Gemini), Anthony Mason (Sun Sagittarius, Mars Libra) Charles Oakley (Sun Sagittarius) and John Starks (Sun Leo, Mars Libra). The resonance here is outstanding and the instinctual level with each other is also high. It’s been said how the Knicks then played with so much heart and fire. Well there is definitely an abundance of heart with two Leos and enough fire with 4 solar fire signs .

Dynamic Duos

There are also historically and currently some dynamic duos who have such a strong vibe that they basically “make” the team. One of these duos was on the 90s Seattle Supersonics. Shawn Kemp and Gary Payton. These two had a psychic and intuitive vibe (both are lunar Cancers). Shawn is a solar Sagittarius, and Gary is a Leo, again, a very strong resonance. The Utah Jazz had their own duo as well. Karl Malone is an early Leo sun and John Stocton is an early degree Aries. Karl Malone is rightfully named the “Mailman” with his mars and moon in Virgo (worker sign). John’s mars opposes Karl’s in service and sacrifice oriented Pisces, which is what he did most (distribute the ball and put self last). Last example and most well know is Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. Michael Jordan (Aquarius, moon Sagittarius) and Scottie Pippen (Libra, Moon Libra) were the core mechanic of the Chicago Bulls dynasty.

Fast Forward to 2011

The blockbuster deal adding Lebron James and Chris Bosh to the Miami Heat is working out so far. Astrologically however, Chris Bosh may prove to be the odd man out here. Lebron James and Dwayne Wade both have a strong Capricorn presence in both of their charts. Lebron’s Sun is at about 8 degrees in Capricorn and Chris Bosh’s Sun is at 2 degrees Aries. Dwayne Wade will clearly vibe better with Bosh due to his sun being close to the Aquarius cusp. Bosh is a power forward though, and he is not directing traffic or handling the ball.

The other “big” deal, was trading Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups to the Knicks. Astrologically, neither one mesh with Amare Stoudamire very well. Amare has an abundance of Scorpio energy and a Capricorn Mars. Chauncey Billups and Carmelo Anthony are both airy.  If an exchange was made between Chris Bosh, and Amare Stoudamire, I believe both teams would fare better.

Elemental resonance is important for anything and any sport. I would definitely suggest teams management consult an astrologer for this very purpose,  I hope you’ve gained something from this and enjoyed as well . Peace

Emotionally detached.

Posted by: | Comments (8)

I’ve heard a lot of complaints by women about men being emotionally detached. As men we are supposed to be the stronger and more emotionally grounded sex.  There are also many emotionally detached women out there as well. What all of these people are missing, is that  there are many ways different people process emotions depending on their astrological make up. The people who are “emotionally detached” are really people who process emotions in a way the accuser doesn’t understand. On the flip side, the “emotionally detached” person can’t understand what the big deal is about. While there are genuine cases of course, of emotional detachment due to trauma and other life experiences. I would assert that its a simple element or aspect incompatibility in the natal and synastry chart. I will give examples of some emotionally detached aspects and planet placements.

Moon in air signs - It must be understood that air is an objective  and rational element. Raw emotion is strange and confusing to these individuals and they will be uncomfortable  with expressive emotions.

Moon in Capricorn- Moon in Capricorn is in detriment, and has trouble letting emotions go freely.

Moon aspecting Saturn-  Saturn being the planet of structure, order, and restriction is a natural enemy of the moon which needs to be free to express itself.

Moon aspecting Pluto - Controlling emotions  is very important and emotions are deep and intense but not demonstrative.

Venus in air- too much emotional probing and analyzing is uncomfortable  for these natives.  Possessiveness is not an attribute that is looked upon positively by these natives.

Venus aspecting  Saturn- Demonstrative love is not a real hallmark with these aspects so significant others will find these peoples coolness a bit too cold. Saturn is an enemy of Venus.

Venus in Capricorn- Again,  Saturn is an enemy of Venus.

Venus aspecting Pluto- Expression is controlled  but the intensity is present because the upper hand must be kept.

These are a few of my findings. If you are having any of these specific issues I can be contacted and this can be explored to see if it is in your natal or synastry.

Any other findings? Please do add- on and if you so choose , explain your findings and thoughts.

Peace
