It's your girl Astro By Lauren, AKA young Lauren [inaudible 00:00:03], AKA your quintessential quadroon, young [inaudible 00:00:07] fresh, AKA your planetary bae, and welcome to my podcast Galaxy Grillz.
Hello everyone, and welcome to the 54th episode of Galaxy Grills. I'm your host [00:00:30] Astro by Lauren, AKA Lauren McBride. Today is Tuesday, July 10th, 2018. We have so much going on this week in the sky, but don't we always?
We have a new moon coming up this week in the sign of Cancer. We have Venus, which just moved from Leo into Virgo. We also have several planets retrograding, as I'm sure you are aware, and one planet is [00:01:00] stationing direct.
Pluto is still retrograding, Neptune is still retrograding. Those outer planets retrograde for at least half the year. Saturn is retrograding. Pretty painful for those of us with cardinal signs in early degrees.
Jupiter has been retrograding for the past two months, but today it's stationed direct, and that's a beautiful thing for those of us with fixed sign influence, and finally Mercury begins its retrograde [00:01:30] at the end of the moth, but it has just entered into its pre-retrograde shadow period.
What does that mean? It means that if you are online dating, you need to go ahead and get those dates in now, because you don't want to meet anybody during that retrograde period, so you have a couple more days to get it in with your new suitors, but after that it's gonna be all the exes trying to show back up at your door, so prepare. Be prepared. Like the Lion King.
Okay, on with [00:02:00] the show.
Mars is in full swing with its retrograde in Aquarius. Aquarius is the sign of the people, it's the sign of the proletariat. It is the sign of mass revolution and sudden change. For Mars to be moving backwards, it indicates a lot of unrest and a lot of disease amongst the people, but Aquarius [00:02:30] is united, so although it may be a tumultuous time, the condition is excellent for people to band together and push for sudden, dramatic, and broad-reaching change.
We have a new moon on July 12th in the sign of Cancer. The sun comes to meet the moon at 20 degrees Cancer. It is also a partial [00:03:00] solar eclipse, kicking off eclipse season, one of several that we will have this summer. It is also opposed to Pluto, and Pluto is always there to offer us the opportunity for deep, long-term, slow-moving change.
There's strength in a new moon. There's strength in an eclipse, certainly. Pluto has a incredibly strong influence, a gravitational pull.
This new moon is quite special. If it activates [00:03:30] your chart, it could very well bring life-changing kind of events, but as you know it's eclipse energy, so the way eclipse energy works is you may be affected in an unexpected way by things that are completely out of your control. It could be life-changing, but it's not something that we get to choose. It's something that we get to experience, and we get to choose how we react to it.
It's exciting. Pluto can bring up all [00:04:00] kinds of feelings of insecurity or suspiciousness. Also, Cancer is the sign of family. It could be deep, deeply-hidden family secrets, things like that, so take it easy. Set your intentions. Again, to set your intentions you could do something as simple as write them down, goals that you want to happen for the next six months, and that will sway this transformational energy in your direction, and help [00:04:30] to take you where you want to go.
Last week, on July third, we had what's called a Grand Water Trine, and that is when three planets in the same element come together to form a trine, a triangle. They all work together, and in this case [00:05:00] flow together, to create a vibe. It's a vibe, y'all, but that is perhaps when the energy started shifting towards this eclipse that's coming up on the 12th.
The three planets involved in the water trine are Neptune in Pisces, Jupiter in Scorpio, and the sun in Cancer. If you're an empathic person, a highly-sensitive person, clairvoyant person, anyone who has a heightened sense of extra-sensory perception, [00:05:30] you may have found that, starting last week, those gifts, those sensitivities, have been going wild.
Neptune is a planet that dissolves boundaries, and Neptune is the planet of fantasy, and it's also the planet that transcends the physical realm.
Jupiter is expansive, so it expands anything that it touches, and Scorpio, Scorpio draws things to the surface. Jupiter in Scorpio is like a gigantic magnet [00:06:00] for uncovering ... I know we've been saying this all year, uncovering that which is hidden, bringing it to the surface, and exposing it to the light so that it can be dealt with appropriately, whether that means it is exulted, or whether that means it is obliterated. Once your secrets come to light, they can no longer hurt you.
Then we have the sun in Cancer, and the sun sets the vibe for the season. It's the entire consciousness. Think about how the sun drapes everything. [00:06:30] It envelopes the world with its light. Those are three powerful influences that are working together.
Imagine the triangle, and imagine the flowing water tine. All this energy flowing in between them, encircling us, and affecting us in our own special ways. I say "special ways," because some people may not feel it at all, and some people might be feeling it too much. I got to the point where I wasn't feeling very [00:07:00] grounded.
I don't have any earth in my chart anyway. Well, I have Saturn. Saturn north node in Virgo, and I have Chiron in Taurus, but other than that I have no earth in my chart, so being grounded is something I have to work on, but last week I found myself so deeply immersed in my extra-sensory.
I am clairvoyant, a clairaudient, and last week I felt like it was almost too much, so I do activities to ground myself, and you might need [00:07:30] to do the same. Grounding activities such as yoga, working in a garden. Self-care can also be grounding. It makes you aware of your body.
Then, some of you ara highly-attuned to earth energies, and you're always in your body, and you don't even know what I'm talking about. For you all, this influence might juice things up a little bit, kind of make things more dreamy for you, make things more hazy for some of you. Think about the way that water can erode the sand, [00:08:00] and water can erode stone. It can erode anything. The water might be working on you.
You might be someone who's used to a lot of control. Suddenly there's this flow of emotion, maybe from you or maybe from someone else. It's causing you to have to look at things differently, and possibly have to do things differently, in a more sensitive way and a more emotionally-attuned kind of way.
All right, y'all. [00:08:30] That is our show for today. Thank you all for tuning in, and I hope you learned something.
